Timothy Chubb is a warm-hearted but terrifyingly stubborn man who hates two things: railroads and being contradicted. This spells disaster for his meek daughter Lucy, who loves a freight agent but is being forced to marry a dry lawyer to satisfy her father’s prejudice.
